I remember freaking out a bit after I found out I was pregnant.  We are starting all over with clothes, car seats, strollers...well, EVERYTHING.  That is an expensive thing to do.  But I must say that people have been offering us so much stuff & I think that that is pretty awesome.

We've gotten a crib, bassinet & been offered a pack and play, jogging stroller, glider and ottoman, swing, baby bath tub...I mean the list goes on & on.  I'm having a pregnancy hormone induced day, filled with crying for NO reason on the way to Wal-Mart so I just wanted to be happy for once today and give thanks to the people that have helped us out

Adventures at Ikea

Today we decided to go to Ikea.  I have never been but saw a dresser online that I wanted to look at for the baby.  Why did no one tell me that Ikea is like a city inside a building?  I never in my life have needed a MAP to find my way around a store.  I also always wondered why a furniture store sold meatballs but now I get it :)  We had a great lunch and got some great stuff there.  Kids plates & utensils, can opener, 2 spatulas, a dresser for the baby & a bookcase for our room.  All for $100!  You really can't beat that!

I will say though that going on a Saturday was not the best idea I have ever had.  I don't like crowds.  I avoid them as much as possible.  If we are in a place with crowds, I start getting very anxious and pretty darn crabby.  Luckily in the middle of our adventure, Daniel could tell I was getting very anxious so we sat down to eat and relax for a few minutes.

So, if you are someone that likes Ikea, let me know what you like to buy there.  There was so much stuff to look at so we had to only look at the important stuff.  That & lunch still took 2 hours :)

Baby Registries

Today was the first day that I tried (that being the important word) to do the baby registry.  I remember when I first found out I was pregnant & couldn't wait to go look at stuff and do a registry.  I don't feel that way anymore :)  There is just so much *stuff* out for babies.  And wow, did the price of things go up!  I know my last baby was 5 years ago but oh my goodness.  Every individual item seems to be at least $40.

I feel like my stomach has popped out so much in the last month or so.  I am 24 weeks and have gained 13 pounds total so I feel like thats ok but I also feel myself starting to waddle :)  I don't want to be waddling at 6 months!  Here is the 6 month picture.

This weekend is a 3 day weekend & even Daniel gets Monday off.  I think we are going to take the kids to see Veggietales this weekend.  Of course, we are watching the CHARGERS on Sunday.  They may be the Underdogs but we're hoping they win!

Just stuff

1. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant.  Sometimes I think how fast this pregnancy has gone but other times I can't believe I have 16 more weeks until my due date :)  However, my babies have been early in the past (7 weeks & 3 weeks early) so I am starting to get more nervous about him coming early.  I think we have settled on Ryan for a first name but we're still working on a middle name.

2. Yesterday, I joined a woman's bible study.  I was nervous at first because I knew that I wouldn't know a soul.  I've never been to a study that was just women (Daniel and I have been to a few as a couple but they were always real small in someones home).  I would say there were about 100 women there.  At my table, there are 5 of us but someone is bringing 2 friends next week.  It's so weird how after just one time meeting these women, I can already tell why God put us all together.  I am really looking forward to starting this and hope that I can grow from it & make some new friends :)

3. Jared is going to be tested for GATE in February.  I am super proud of him because he has come so far in the last  year since being on medication for his ADHD.  Last year, his teacher never gave him a chance.  This year, his teacher is very understanding and easy to talk to.  She is actually the one that told me that he is really bright (which I already knew but it's nice hearing it :))  Anyways, I am just really proud of him and all the hard work he has done this year.

I know I had a bunch more to blog about, but of course, I forgot it all :)

Why I am starting a blog

Well, I sometimes blog over at Myspace but honestly, I have never liked the format there so I am coming back to LiveJournal. But, the main reason for blogging is just to tell my Friends about things that are happening in my life, sharing things about my pregnancy and just venting away. I will warn you that this won't be a well-written blog or one you will want to tell your friends about :) I just feel things in my life changing (mostly for the better) and want to have a place were I can write them down & not feel judged.

Glad to have you here!
